Tiny House 2.0 ― South Wall Siding
This video took twelve days to make as it kept getting interrupted, and when I finally had the right weather - I just wrapped it up without filming. I'll film the entire other side though, where I'll be in the shade.

Early Summer Look at the Gardens - Part Two

This is the second half of the video. The first part can be found here: ruclips.net/video/KSXK6RcqdNk/видео.html This part contains the original rock garden, the back side of the ditch garden, the vegetable garden - then a missing section because the GoPro corrupted the files - then wraps-up where I removed the wisteria earlier this year. The sunflowers in the mass planting are starting to bloo...

For many years I only did one video of the native gardens (the ditch garden), but when I do that I can't catch a lot of the grasses and flowers in their prime. This year I'll do an Early Summer, Mid Summer, and Late Summer version. Enjoy! #NativeGarden #NativeFlowers #NativeGrasses Thank you for watching Planet Mojo and have yourself a great day!
The Rabbit-Ravaged Oak - One Year Later
Просмотров 165День назад
This is the tree that was girdled by rabbets last year and appeared to be dead- but then it sprouted four or five new sprouts near the ground which allowed me to save it. I proceeded to remove all of the new sprouts but one as well as the dead original tree. Finally, I put a hardware cloth cage around the little tree: ruclips.net/video/H9q9Vw10dPo/видео.html I did an update one month later when...
The Survivor Oak

This bur oak acorn made it through nine months of hell, and it's still kicking! I harvested these nine months ago, then they sat in a bag (should have planted them right away!) for seven months before I discovered that a few were growing in there! I promptly planted all of the ones with roots (eight of them) - of which four survived. The rest were poured into trays filled with planting medium a...
Tiny House 2.0 ― Dealing with Mud and Prepping for Siding

In the end I got two penetration in the tiny house (1 1/2 actually), and got the area mud-proofed so that I can get the siding started. This morning the ten day forecast only showed one day of rain (today), but as I type this, they added four more... 😑 #PreppingForSiding #SteelSiding #SidingTinyHouse Thank you for...

I tested this same backpack sprayer last year, and it was actually a bit better than it is currently ― except that twice it leaked and sprayed all over me! Thinking back on it, it did leak as well, so I probably should have given it a poor review, but after spraying all day with this (actually two days), I can safely say that I would not buy one of these. It would work best for spraying a large...
Oak Update ― We Have Acorns Again!
Просмотров 28621 день назад
Oaks do not produce acorns every year, and even in years that they do produce acorns, the number the produce can vary widely - and the literature claims that bur oaks do not even to begin to bear acorns until they are 25 years old, but some of these trees are producing at 6 or 7 years! So-far this year, we are getting what looks like a repeat of last year and will have plenty of acorns to work ...

I bought one of these SOLO sprayers and the piston stopped holding pressure after 8-10 uses. They sent be an entirely new sprayer, which is nice, then that one did the same after 7-8 uses. I do everything right from triple-rinsing and relieving all of the pressure before stored. I have tried to contact someone at SOLO several times all month (July 2024), but this time not getting a response. I am so sick of companies claiming "Made in the USA" when the product is garbage. No more SOLO for me.

How do you get rid of the milkweed? It started in my front yard the years ago when I didn't know what it was so I left it that year. I am in zone 4a. All you can do is keep pulling them as soon as you find them. Their rhizomes are relentless and it can take forever - like playing whack-a-mole 😑 The seeds also float in on the wind so if there are plants nearby, they will keep reseeding your garden.
